Stakeholder perspectives on Somalia’s standards strategy

Government and industry representatives met to validate the Somali Bureau of Standards’ Strategic Plan 2026–2030, with support from HoA DRIVE Somalia. The video covers the Bureau’s plans for standards, measurement, testing and certification. Speakers explain how this work can help check the quality of goods sold in Somalia, protect consumers and help Somali producers meet the requirements of East African markets. They also discuss the funding and cooperation needed to put the plan into practice.
